2nd Fife (Dunfermline) Scout Group
BP Guild

Who are we?

We are an Association of adult Scouts and others who wish to remain active within the World Scout Movement. Branches of the Guild exist mainly in Central Scotland but we are keen to expand further. We keep in contact with other branches via social events such as games nights, quizzes, Burns Supper, Golf etc. Locally our own branch (currently is 18 strong) pursue a variety of activities ranging from picnics to indoor bowling, cultural visits and general socialising.

What do we do?

We support Scout Groups, Districts or Areas in their Scouting endeavours. Our local branch is predominantly involved in supporting 2nd Fife and a large majority of our members come from old boys, parents and former leaders of the Group although all are welcome. The major activity is the upkeep of the Nineacres Campsite although a lot of what has been done lately is not clearly visible with the creation of storage areas within the Activity Hall. Support is given to the Group whenever necessary and members are keen to support any Section activities where extra hands are needed. We contribute to Group funds and support all fundraising and social activities organised by the Group.

For those with a desire to travel and experience European Fellowship there is an annual event in Grossarl Austria.

Membership fees are only 10 per year as we operate outwith UK Scouting.
