Scouts

***This page is currently under construction***

Our Scout Troop is made up of young people aged 10½ to 14, led by trained adult volunteers who are on hand to share their skills and keep everyone safe. Our programme is varied and lets us:

  • Master new skills and try new things
  • Make new friends
  • Have fun and go on adventures, at home and abroad
  • Explore the world around them
  • Help others and make a difference, in their own communities and beyond

Within our Troop, we have six Patrols, smaller groups of Scouts led by the Patrol Leader, who look out for one another, and help each other grow. Scouts usually gather in their Patrols at the beginning and end of meetings. They might also stick together on expeditions or trips away, or during certain activities.

We meet on a Thursday night – starting at 7:30pm and finishing at 9:15pm. We usually try and have one activity each month at a weekend, such as camping, mountain biking or kayaking. We meet when Schools are on but also have a week long Summer Camp each year during the School summer holidays.

Our current leadership team is:

Stuart White – Scout Leader

Robbie Fyfe – Assistant Scot Leader

Stevie McGrouther – Assistant Scout Leader

David Telfer – Assistant Scout Leader

Ellie Fraser – Section Assistant

Derek Hutton – Skills Instructor

The Scouts meet on a Thursday evening between 7.15pm and 9.15pm
